Morley–Ellenbrook Line (Ellenbrook Line)
Alliance Development (RFP) – Concept Design, 2020

Client: METRONET / Public Transport Authority (PTA)
Architect: Coniglio Ainsworth Architects (CAA) + MPS Architects (CAMPS JV)
Shortlisted Alliance Team: Ellenbrook Alliance (CPB Contractors, Downer EDI)

Project Overview

Our concept design for Morley Station was developed as part of the Ellenbrook Alliance bid for the Morley–Ellenbrook Line RFP, which was ultimately awarded to and delivered by the MELconnx Alliance. Located within the Tonkin Highway median, Morley Station establishes a major transport hub linking rail, bus, and park-and-ride, serving Morley Galleria and surrounding areas.

Urban and Site Response

Access is via an expanded Broun Avenue bridge integrating the bus interchange and connecting dual station entries, eliminating pedestrian road crossings.

Architectural Design

Two entry buildings provide strong visual markers. The southern entry centres on a circulation foyer with integrated vertical transport and daylight via skylights. The northern entry continues the architectural language with expressed structure and a terraced roof form.
