Coniglio Ainsworth Architects were engaged by PTA to provide Lead Design Consultancy Services to deliver a Concept Design for the PTA preferred rail, bridge and platform arrangement option at the Bayswater Station Precinct. The commission was also to develop a concept design for a bridge to support the rail duplication, a new rail station platform (Southern Platform), modifications to the existing Principal Shared Path at Bayswater to ensure the same level of connectivity, concept design for station precinct that integrates the intent of the City Of Bayswater (Draft) Structural Plan and METRONET and State Planning intent. Our scope of works as LDC included;

• Consultation with PTA, METRONET, City of Bayswater, MRWA, WA OGA, SDRP, CAG, Future Bayswater.

• Options analysis: Undertaking analysis of site options and opportunities

• Concept design & master function diagrams identifying spaces & their uses, based on the findings & recommendations of the initial needs analysis

• Identify public art opportunities to be included in the concept proposal

• Considerations of disability, access and inclusion

• Visual representations of the concept design

• Rationale of spaces/ areas

• Consideration of patron flow through the spaces and precinct

• Establishing preliminary costs of concept
