Lady Brand
This community centre facility is an integral part of the social infrastructure of the Lady Brand Lifestyle Village.
It comprises of three buildings wrapping around a central bowling green and incorporates meeting rooms, a library, cafe, multi-function rooms, swimming pool, gymnasium, a commercial kitchen and large function rooms that can accommodate a variety of functions and social gatherings for in excess of five hundred residents. .
The design solution addresses this diverse functional brief whilst maintaining the amenity of residents immediately adjacent to the centre through appropriate scale of building forms, efficient space planning, careful consideration of door and window and entry locations and acoustic treatment. Social interaction between residents is also promoted in the design outcome.
